How many scholarships do students have. Types of scholarships for students in Russian universities. Named scholarships and grants

From session to session, students live happily. A legendary saying among students of universities, colleges and technical schools.

But a fun life, as a rule, ends in the absence of a scholarship. And for many students, this is a significant help. You always want to eat: both in winter and in summer. By the way, do they pay a scholarship in the summer? Let's talk about this in detail.

What is a scholarship?

Find something to ask. Any baby knows that "stipukha" is money that the state gives to poor students for the fact that they study at a university.

So it is, but not every student receives this money. It's for the "chosen ones". Who are these chosen ones and is it possible to be one of them? Read about it below.

And who are these "fixies"?

In our case, we replace the fixes with the chosen ones. This is not the "golden youth" among the students. And the most ordinary guys and girls who study at public universities, at free branches. And they study well, on "four" at least. They also receive an academic scholarship.

Types of "stipuhi"

There are several types of scholarships for students:

    academic;

    social;

    presidential;

    government;

It's easiest to get the first one. Requirements are small: good academic performance.

How is the calculation done?

Do they pay a scholarship in Russia in the summer? The unequivocal answer is yes. Any state university, which teaches state students, pays a scholarship all year round. The only thing that can change is how it is calculated.

The following points are implied here:

advance forms. Scholarship for July and August is awarded in June. Accordingly, a university student receives a cash payment in a triple amount.

The student receives money in September after he has closed the summer session. And again, the transferred funds are paid in a triple amount.

Payments are monthly. The student receives them evenly.

Who sets the payout amount?

Educational institution, the student of which is our state employee. There is a minimum rate, below which the academic scholarship cannot be lower.

Do they pay a scholarship in the summer at the university? Yes, they do. And in full. The amount of the minimum stipend for a university student is 1,571 rubles. For those who study at colleges or technical schools, the payment is 856 rubles.

Session results

To receive scholarships, students must pass the session with "good" and "excellent". There shouldn't be triplets. Even one triple deprives the student of the right to receive a scholarship. Same as transfer. It's a shame, but a student sent to retake will not be able to receive payments.

And yet, if a student "filled up" the summer session, then he will receive material rewards for the previous course only until the end of June. Therefore, answering the question of whether the scholarship is paid in the summer, in this case, you can say "no". In July, August and the following months, a fellow student is left without material support.

What if he passed?

The situation in which a student is sent to retake is not uncommon. But the dean's office is not always informed. Teachers are people too. And they are quite capable of moving forward. Especially in the case when the student has established himself as a serious person. He studies well, does not skip classes. And here - blundered. Anything can happen: I felt bad, I was confused, I didn’t know the answer to the question that came across. Yes, you never know what situations arise.

The teacher and the student agree on a retake. This happens in secret from the dean's office. The student successfully retakes the discipline. In this case, he will receive a scholarship.

You ask about how the teacher and student will pull off this machination. It's simple: the sheet with grades is not always handed over to the dean's office after the exam. There are especially negligent comrades who did not appear for the exam. And, so as not to run back and forth every time, not to look for a statement, a professor or assistant professor leaves it with him.

Summer scholarship and college (technical school)

Do college scholarships pay in the summer? So they pay, but most often in September or October. A student in these institutions receives a payment for three months at once. If he coped with the summer session, of course.

social scholarship

Unprotected segments of the population are entitled to it. If the student is such, then he can collect Required documents to receive a social scholarship.

Who belongs to these layers? These include:

Disabled people of I and II groups.

    Low-income families.

    Students from large families.

Do they pay a scholarship in the summer? Social scholarship, we will make a clarification. Yes, they do. But only if the student has no debts. Charges will resume after their repayment.

What to do, if...?

There are situations when a student successfully "failed" the winter session. And in the next semester, he remains without financial support from the university. But I managed with the summer session. Is he entitled to a scholarship in this case?

Dear students, don't worry! You will receive your money. Payments will continue in accordance with your school's policies.

What about graduates?

For final-year students with a scholarship, it is somewhat different. Their last session is in winter, which means that accruals are made only until the end of January. Then comes the period of preparation for state exams and writing a diploma. Alas, but at this time the scholarship is not awarded.

Increased payouts

They are received only by those who passed the session with "excellent". Even one four is unacceptable.

An increased scholarship can range from 5,000 to 10,000 thousand rubles. It all depends on the university and the city in which it is located.

We figured out the question of whether the scholarship is paid in the summer. And got an affirmative answer.

It doesn't take much to get it. Good performance and nothing more. Therefore, those who dream of payments throughout the year will have to forget about passes and negligent attitude to study.

Conclusion

There is an unspoken rule among students. The first three years you work for the record book, and then it works for you. Work hard at first, and then you can relax. But this does not mean that it is allowed to forget about studying, do nothing, but only have fun among your fellow students. No, it won't work like that. You need to study at the budget department, why then enter it?

Yes, the scholarship is not given as easily as students would like.

Most of the payments due to the student can be divided into two groups:

Everyone, without exception, who bears the honorary title of a student, is certainly interested in his scholarship, its size and payment terms. A large number of students are concerned about the question of whether the scholarship is paid in the summer. And if everything is more or less clear with the size, which is directly proportional to academic performance, then it is sometimes difficult to figure out the timing of payments. As a rule, there are practically no questions about the payment of scholarships in the autumn/winter period, but whether they give a scholarship in the summer is of interest to many students.

    Academic Scholarship

Do those students who could not successfully pass the session receive a scholarship in the summer? The scholarship in the summer is awarded only if the summer session was successfully passed by the student. In order to receive an academic scholarship, a student must pass the session with positive marks, that is, “good” and “excellent”, and not have any debts.

In case of unsatisfactory passing of the summer session, the scholarship will be paid only for the month of June, and for July and August in the presence of "tails" will not be paid. In most universities, 5 students are expelled from July 1st immediately after graduation. Therefore, the scholarship is not paid in August. However, in some universities, the expulsion occurs in August, so students are fully entitled to receive payments for June and July.

Each university has its own approved Regulations on the procedure for accrual and payment. Often in practice, the case with the payment is as follows:

    • If the student successfully passed the session, then the scholarship for July and August is paid to him in advance in June. This is a great help before the upcoming summer vacation.
    • Also, very often universities give scholarships to students in the fall, simultaneously with the September payment.

    social scholarship

To clarify the issue of payment, you must contact the department of labor and wages or your dean's office. In the event that there is an academic debt or, simply speaking, “tails” for the spring session, the social stipend is not paid in the summer until the student retakes the session. At the time of closing the debt in the summer, it continues to be paid. Moreover, the payments will include the period for which it was not paid.

Suppose that a student did not pass the exam in June, therefore, he is not charged in the summer. The last scholarship he received was in May. In July, the student retaken the exam, and for any grade. As a result, the student will receive a "social program" for July, as well as for May and June, within the prescribed period.

Providing for yourself while studying at the university is a very real task for a student. The most obvious solution is an increased scholarship, and the conditions are active participation in the cultural or sports life of the university and high academic performance.

You can receive an increased scholarship full-time students receiving higher education on a budget basis. A student can apply for such payments from the second semester of the first year. Mandatory conditions - good academic performance, no academic debt, while all exams and tests must be passed the first time.

There are five types of advanced scholarship:

    1. For achievements in research activities. To receive it, you must have publications in a scientific publication, awards for research work, documents confirming the right to the result of intellectual activity (patent or certificate), a grant for performing research work, or other merits, for example, making a presentation at a scientific conference .
    2. For academic excellence. The last two sessions must be passed on "excellent" and "good", while the fives must be at least 50%. Also a plus will be prizes at the olympiads.
    3. For achievements in cultural and creative activities. Awards must be given for participation in cultural events or for the creation of works of art or literature.
    4. For active social activities. Documents are provided that confirm the student's participation in social events.
    5. For sporting achievements. Regular participation in significant sports events held at the university is also counted.

A student can apply for all directions at once.

The amount of the increased scholarship is not fixed by law- installs it educational institution taking into account the size of the scholarship fund and depending on the category to which the student belongs (see the order on approving the size of the scholarship). So, for example, an increased scholarship for achievements in science for a 5th year student of a specialist or 1st or 2nd year master's degree will amount to 8,100 rubles, which is almost three times more than the basic academic scholarship (it is included in this amount).

To receive an advanced scholarship, you must write an application, attach a copy of the record book, a petition from the Council of Students of your institute or the Joint Council of Students of SevGU, as well as documents confirming merits - diplomas, certificates, etc. Documents must be taken to the directorate of your institute. All applications are considered by the scholarship commission, depending on the significance of merits, points are awarded and an appropriate rating is compiled, after which payments are distributed.

Everyone who actively shows himself, participates in the life of the university, is not too lazy to study, has a real opportunity to receive an increased scholarship. True, it is necessary to choose the right direction (type of increased scholarship) for which to apply. The most competitive is science (the highest paid and most popular, because a lot of guys are engaged in scientific work) and study. In the rating of students who have applied for these two areas, tenths and hundredths of points are taken into account. However, the statistics of students applying for a particular direction differs in each institute, - said Denis Tsyganok, chairman of the Joint Council of Students of SevGU, a member of the scholarship committee.

Master student of the Institute information technologies and management in technical systems Maxim Lisov advises students to apply for an increased scholarship for scientific achievements- the competition is less than for academic success, and publishing at least 3 scientific articles per semester is quite possible, and it will also benefit both the student himself and science.

In total, in the first academic semester of the 2016/2017 academic year, 145 students of SevGU receive an increased scholarship. The Maritime Institute and the Institute of Finance, Economics and Management of SevGU are leading in terms of the number of scholarship holders.

Irina Moreva, Deputy Director for Educational and Scientific Work of the Maritime Institute, believes that high academic performance is associated with the discipline inherent in future sailors:

Our students master professions that are subject to increased requirements. They must know the theory, own modern technologies, be able to work with regulatory documents, have managerial skills and so on. Increased scholarships speak of their success.

And economics students are probably good at counting money.

Do you also want to receive an increased scholarship? All in your hands!
