Quality Management - what is it and why?

For a long time, it was believed that quality management is reduced only to the prevention of defects in finished products. Today, quality management is one of the most important areas of management, which is designed to organize the work of an enterprise in such a way that the consumer always receives a high quality product or service. In international practice, special procedures, methods and tools have been developed, which together make up the quality management system. There are over 1 million companies in the world that have implemented modern quality management systems. There are still about 30,000 such organizations in Russia, but their number is constantly growing.

The problem of quality never loses its relevance, it is essentially constant. Quality, today is no longer perceived as an abstract category, but as a strategic task, the successful solution of which largely determines the stability of the Russian economy, its place in world production and distribution. That is why in the Kuban state university at the Department of World Economy and Management the direction of preparation of bachelors 27.03.02 "Quality Management" profile "Quality Management in Socio-Economic Systems" was opened.

The future activity of a graduate of this profile will be to continuously improve business processes in an organization (enterprise) in order to increase its prestige and competitiveness, which requires special knowledge, skills, both engineering and technical, and to a large extent economic, organizational, social -psychological. Qualification

Graduates of the Kuban State University in the direction of training "Quality Management" receive the qualification - "Bachelor". Bachelor of Quality Management: - is not just an employee who controls the quality of products, it is a highly qualified specialist and professional who knows how to organize the work of the enterprise so that the consumer of the product is satisfied, and the client of the service company is satisfied with the services provided; is a middle manager who is able to involve all employees of the enterprise in quality improvement and has the necessary technical, economic and organizational skills for this.

The peculiarity of the profile "Quality Management in Socio-Economic Systems" is associated with wide employment opportunities. In Russia, there is a constantly growing need for specialists who are able to develop and use quality management systems (QMS), both to improve the algorithms of enterprises' activities and to apply within them the most effective procedures for assessing and controlling product quality, which allow gaining consumer confidence.

The acquired qualification will allow graduates to work both in quality management services, in standardization and certification bodies, and in a multifaceted service system, including in the system of public services:
