Medveditskaya ridge how to get there. Medveditskaya ridge: anomalous zone. Blue Mountain is far from the only strange place in the Medveditskaya Ridge

The Medveditskaya ridge, located at a distance of 15-18 kilometers from the city of Zhirnovsk, Volgograd Region, is a chain of hills about 200-380 meters high and is located in an oval with a diameter of two dozen kilometers. The ridge is located on the site of a unique tectonic fault, and perhaps that is why it is considered one of the most powerful and unpredictable anomalous zones in Russia in its behavior.

Since 1982, scientific expeditions have been regularly conducted in this area. But more than 35 expeditions carried out did not give reliable explanations for the miracles happening on the Medveditskaya ridge.

Raging Lightning Slope

Scheme of the tunnels of the Medveditskaya ridge, compiled by Vadim Chernobrov
The most mysterious part of the Medveditskaya ridge is still a place called "Slope of Furious Lightning". Eyewitnesses claim that things unimaginable for a normal person are happening there - the Medveditskaya ridge seems to attract ball lightning. Hundreds of facts have been recorded when ball lightning appeared not only in a thunderstorm, but also in calm weather, at any time of the day, for no apparent reason. Ball lightning here fly for dozens of hours along one route and burn holes or bizarre spirals on trees that have fallen along the way.

According to observers, the lightning moves at the speed of a pedestrian half a meter to a meter from the ground. From the burns on the trees, they determined that the largest fireball is about two meters in diameter. Lightning can fly against the wind and hover over objects. It is also interesting that the same ball lightning burned trees in its path, but either bypassed people or, passing through them, did not cause any harm to health. One of such cases was recorded: for a long time a woman was observed through whom ball lightning flew when she protected her child from this ball lightning. It so happened that the lightning passed through her and the boy several times. They were taken to the hospital in a state of shock, but, as it turned out, no harm was done to their health.

All burnt trees were recognized as "anomalous" vegetation, carefully studied and measured during one of the expeditions. Having climbed along and across the ridge, the researchers counted more than three hundred and fifty completely or partially burned trunks. In some cases, only a knee-high charred stump remained from a multi-meter tree.

At first there was an assumption that the trees are burned by ordinary "linear" lightning. The specialists decided to test this hypothesis, since there were enough thunderstorm fronts, but when they built a diagram based on the research records, the scientists were amazed: it turned out that the places where linear lightning hit did not correspond to the forest area with burnt trees.

But this was only the first stage of the work. Every day, teams armed with compasses, notebooks, tape measures, went into the forest and measured the area, shape, location and direction of burns on trees. An analysis of burns on tree trunks showed that 95% of them are located at a height of no more than a meter. The roots of a significant part of the trees seemed to have been purposefully burned out, and after that the energy discharge burned the tree from the inside along the trunk through and through from the bottom up. It looked like lightning or something unknown struck the tree not from the air, but from under the ground.

Scientists from the USA and Europe became interested in the phenomenon of ball lightning, and no wonder: in terms of the number of occurrences of ball lightning per year, the Medveditskaya ridge is in second place in the world (first place in Malaysia).

Mystery underground

According to some researchers of the anomalies of the Medveditskaya ridge, these lightnings fly strictly over two caves located underground at a shallow depth. According to the stories of old-timers, these caves are underground tunnels located parallel to each other with a diameter, according to various sources, from 6 to 20 meters, moreover, they have smooth and even walls.

The strange tunnels of the Medveditskaya ridge were discovered largely by accident. In the 80s, specialists from the Moscow Aviation Institute were entrusted with a task of national importance: to investigate all the facts known at that time of the appearance of unidentified flying objects on the territory of the country in order to unravel the principle of their flight and create a working theory for the development of their own aircraft in the future. One of the students - it was Vadim Chernobrov, the future most active researcher of the Medveditskaya ridge, the creator and head of Kosmopoisk - suggested starting to study the routes of movement of mysterious flying objects. Work has begun. As a result of this work, it turned out that most of the flight paths intersected in the Volgograd region, in the area of the so-called Medveditskaya ridge. Scientists began to study the history of the area, which led researchers to the tunnels.

When the first settlements appeared in these places, no one knows. The Scythians ruled here three thousand years ago, as evidenced by numerous burial mounds. But besides them, some unknown tribes also lived here, covering a huge field with small mounds up to half a meter high. The Scythians usually didn't do that. From the inhabitants of the surrounding villages and now you can hear the legend that the people who inhabited these lands were brutally exterminated by some powerful force. What kind of power - no one knows, but they don’t go to the field: they are afraid. Local residents, however, are sure that the mounds are connected underground into a complex system of labyrinths.

It is also interesting that, quite by accident, near one of the villages, the builders accidentally dug up an ancient burial ground, where the skeletons were found ... giants, people 2.5 m tall, who lived here, perhaps long before new era. In a village not far from the excavations, they still remember how in former times, during plowing, human skulls were often found on the field “twice the size of the usual”. And on the other side of the Medveditsa River, upstream, in the area of the village of the same name, other diggers have already unearthed an ancient burial place of the Lilliputian people, whose height did not exceed 50-60 cm. The question is “who lived in this territory?” - remains open.

In some old guide to Russian Empire, in his volume, which tells about the Volga region, it speaks of two strange caves that supposedly store countless treasures. In the history of the Golden Horde, it was possible to find evidence that the Mongols used captive Russians to excavate either caves or tunnels. And even the place where it happened was indicated - the banks of the Bear. At the beginning of the 20th century, the tunnels served as a shelter for the White Cossack gang of Borodai. There was such a dashing chieftain, who terrified the entire district. The Red Army soldiers could not liquidate the gang for a long time. And that's why Borodai was elusive, because with his people on horseback he entered the tunnel, and went out in another place for tens of miles.

Thus, from this brief historical digression, the following can be gleaned: tunnels existed here in ancient times, but this is not surprising if we assume that this is just a natural phenomenon, nothing more than an unusual cave. But this hypothesis is not believed by the following experiments.

It was decided to start excavating the tunnels and white flags were placed for orientation. The top view was as follows: the flags were arranged as if by a thread! The cave was straight as an arrow. So far, such smooth underground rivers, faults or cracks have not been known in nature. Under the very top of the mountain, it was discovered that the cave expands to 35 meters, and three more branches leave this huge hall in different directions. And they lead ... to the UFO landing sites. Thus, it turns out that the tunnels are artificial. But who needed to build such a grandiose building? Such precision would come in handy if this tunnel were the runway of some underground airfield. But this version also disappears: firstly, until 1942, not runways were built underground, but shelters for aircraft; secondly, the take-off of the plane from the tunnel would be greatly hindered by the mountain located immediately in front of the exit. Unless planes flew in the tunnel, but devices with a much better control system than those of planes.

In any case, you can’t just get into the tunnels - in 1942, the entrances to them were blown up.

If we discard the most unrealistic hypotheses, then this is how the main versions of the origin of the tunnels look like:

1. These are secret military bases.

However, old-timers and local historians claim that there are no military bases in the entire region. True, other local residents claim that there is still a secret base of the Soviet (Russian) Armed Forces here. And by the way, the three-star flying objects often observed here are our super-secret ships taking off “from somewhere nearby”. Considering that at least one of the scientists with whom the expedition works and worked must know about this base or hear something about the developments, the base turns out to be not just secret, but super-secret.

2. In fact, not tunnels, but a break in the crust, an ancient cave, some other void of natural origin. But what is known about this void makes this hypothesis almost completely unrealistic. Science does not know such perfectly smooth faults.

3. This is an artificial structure ancient civilization. If this is so, then this civilization must be very advanced, and nothing is known for certain about such people. And in this and in other cases, the confirmation of such a hypothesis would have to mean a revolution in history.

By the way, I would like to recall the mysterious tunnels and "metal rooms" in Yakutia, in the "Valley of Death" of the Vilyui River. They also saw "very thin people in metal suits." And about the mysterious underground corridors near the village of Okunevo, which allegedly lead to the temple of Hanuman, the temple of an ancient civilization that communicated with aliens.

4. Part of the structures, the habitat of an unknown underground civilization or inhabitants of another space-dimension. In principle, some “secret” for us other earthlings can live next to us. Sometimes, by the way, they observe how people in strange clothes go out and enter the caves. Once Nicholas Roerich was shown long underground corridors. From them, allegedly, unknown people came out to make purchases at the bazaar. They paid for goods and food with old coins, which were unknown here.

5. A secret alien base, an underground defensive bastion to repel possible attacks from stellar opponents, or something like that.

6. This is a transport network hidden from us, made by representatives of extraterrestrial civilizations.

Devil's lair

All attempts to reveal the secret of the tunnels stumble upon seemingly deliberately rigged barriers. Once a group of speleologists and ufologists entered one direct passage they found, but very soon the researchers were seized by an unreasonable feeling of fear. Suddenly, in the dark tunnel, there was an approaching roar - something rushed towards them, and people turned into a stampede. And they were not alone in experiencing horror at the entrance to the tunnels. Back in 1942, before the entrances to the tunnels were blown up, the soldiers who had been there also experienced an inexplicable fear when they found themselves in the dark depths.

The next team of researchers also returned upset - the excavation was filled with water. It hasn't rained in two months though. The excavations had to be interrupted. But the "forwarders" decided not to give up their attempts: by ground means, it was decided to trace where the strange emptiness under the steppe area leads. The tunnel continued for many kilometers. Finally, the instruments showed that the void under the ground began to grow noticeably, the width gradually increased from 22 to 80 m, then to 120. It became more and more difficult to measure from above, the terrain went uphill, to the mountain peak. Many, when approaching the search object, suddenly had a headache, the equipment began to heat up, the instruments went off scale. So only the most persistent reached the top of the mountain and were stunned: hundreds of red-hot fireballs flew above the ground at a meter height!

With the help of special equipment, physicists carried out geophysical measurements and found out a pattern: ball lightning hits exactly where the underground failures are, and the larger the void, the stronger the discharge. On the ridge, dozens of vertical wells with a diameter of up to 20 centimeters were found, which go underground by 15-20 meters. The walls of the holes seem to be vitrified. Scientists believe that the “lightning nest”, which can be called the Medveditskaya ridge, has a reduced electrical resistance due to a water source or metal deposits hidden in the ground. And one can also assume the existence of certain lines of force (electric fields), along which ball lightnings fly. There are nodes where they aspire. Perhaps one of these nodes is the Medveditskaya ridge.

Scientists have obtained graphs of changes in the magnetic field strength of the soil in this anomalous zone. They are a series of smooth, symmetrical lines. This means that the strength of the magnetic field of the local soil increases several times, and then drops just as sharply, and this does not happen spontaneously, but in an orderly manner. Fluctuations of the magnetic field are so smooth, as if invisible power lines lie here.

Locals call this place the "Devil's Lair", and Cosmopoisk dubbed it the "reserve of fireballs."

The properties and nature of the Devil's Lair cannot yet be explained by experts, just as they cannot find an antidote to everything that is happening in this zone. Here, for example, it is impossible to make an even tractor track. Every time the furrow, made by the most experienced tractor driver, turns out to be crooked the next day.

And on November 11, 1990, thirty steps from the country road, a completely terrible incident occurred: the local shepherd Bisen M. died under very strange circumstances. According to the forensic report, “the shepherd's assistant found M.'s charred body lying on the ground without any sign of struggle or resistance to the fire. Death came instantly as a result of a sharp charring of the body. An autopsy showed that the young body was in perfect order until his death and that the maximum burn was in the area of \u200b\u200bthe spine and internal organs, and the skin was only charred and blackened. The cause of the fire is unknown." In the same way, two years later, the combine operator Ivan Ts.

Other oddities

The widely known anomaly of the Medveditskaya ridge attracts a lot of tourists and amateur researchers, who often forget about caution.

In addition to fireballs, tunnels and the Devil's Lair, the Medveditskaya ridge also stores other oddities. For example, many people leave and just disappear. In August 1993, an amateur ufologist from Krasnodar Territory Nikolai Kh. In the place where he was last seen, they found a large dent, as if a giant press had pressed on the soil. In January 2004, the tourist Vasily Sh. from Bashkiria disappeared.

A strange and frightening incident happened to the members of the 1993 expedition. One of the days of the expedition turned out to be very cold and overcast. The place open to the light, where the forwarders went out, was covered with a faint fog, which in itself is surprising, since it was the third hour in the afternoon and any fog was out of place. But general fatigue did its job, and no one paid any attention either to the fog or to the sudden flight of the expedition dog. The legs seemed to float in a rare haze creeping along the ground. I had to walk ankle-deep in fog, as if along a muddy stream. The fog was strange: it completely ignored the breeze and did not react in any way to walking people, without creating any eddies. Nobody had ever seen anything like it before. It seems that something similar was observed near the Siberian village of Kova in the famous "Devil's Meadow", where people felt inexplicable bouts of fear, and the dogs backed away and ran away.

By evening, the faces, hands, even palms, that is, all the exposed parts of the forwarders' bodies, looked burnt, like the body of a careless holiday-maker in the sultry south. But the researchers “sunbathed” at the 50th parallel, and it happened on a cloudy day in October, so sunburn is unlikely.

There are also chilling stories about how people, animals and cars fall through the ground. On August 17, 1998, the members of the Kosmopoisk expedition went to the place where, according to the bus depot worker Alexander K., the soil "by itself" collapsed to a depth of more than 30 meters. Back in the spring, having found a hole in the ground, he threw two large logs into it and tried to cover it with earth. Everything went down like a black hole. Kosmopoisk confirmed: there was no ejection of soil, there were no traces of cars on the beds, and the fence turned out to be intact. So no one drilled here. The well seemed to have been made from above or ... from below, from under the ground.

There have been interesting finds. One of these finds was discovered in July 1993 by the former chief surgeon of the district, and now retired Alexei A. Digging the ground with a shovel, he accidentally discovered a strange metal “thing” - a bronze alloy bar of unknown purpose was twisted into a double helix. "Spiralka" was brought to Moscow, where it made a splash among archaeologists from Moscow State University: there should not be products from such an alloy in the Volga region! Something similar was found in ancient Egypt, although much simpler in form, but where did it come from? Here we can mention the hypothesis of communication of the ancient Egyptians with aliens and the participation of aliens in the construction of the pyramids. Maybe here, while drilling tunnels, they accidentally dropped a “spiral”?

By the way, during one of the expeditions, the remains of “more serious” construction projects were found in the nearby forests. On one of the highest hills in the ridge, the remains of the foundation from a wooden palisade wall are still guessed, next to the wall there is a ditch overgrown with weeds. Who owned this forest fortress is unknown. Not far away, already almost on the slope of the approaching ravine, forwarders stumbled upon the foundation of an ancient T-shaped structure. There was no doubt that it was an ancient temple - the foundation measuring 30x40m was strictly oriented to the cardinal points. According to the sketch of the foundation, experienced archaeologists in Moscow dated the ruins to the 1st century AD.

This anomalous zone keeps many more secrets and it will take a very long time to explore it. Why are very strange springs gushing out of the ground: in one place, distilled water comes out of the ground, and in another, a radioactive spring beats - the radiometers in its water go off scale. Why, only God knows. Once, having looked at the quick flickering of numbers in his device, the local doctor Herman M. hastily sent suspicious water for analysis to Moscow. Experts arrived from Moscow no less hastily - according to all indicators, the village should have stood on rich deposits of uranium or, in extreme cases, kept the strongest radioactive source under it. Nevertheless, neither one nor the other, as it turned out, was not in sight - the village subsoil turned out to be clean.

The locals were advised not to drink water from the spring, and why it is radioactive, no one really began to understand and did not understand - you never know what strange things are happening in the world, to delve into everything, no budget is enough. In general, now only troublemaker Herman M. looks after the spring, noting to himself that the mysterious water artery was clearly chosen by lightning - for some reason they hit it too often for some reason.

alien guests

On the evening of June 29, 1982, during the very first expedition to the Medveditskaya ridge, one of the searchers drew attention to three bright stars located at an angle of almost 45 degrees to the northeast of the camp. Together they formed a triangular composition with one white light on the left and two red lights on the right. And only five minutes later, the search engines were convinced that the "stars" were moving.

Almost the same thing happened exactly one year and a day later, on the evening of June 30, 1983. The fact that it was a ship - almost no one doubted. For the third time, we managed to observe this object so close that the freight forwarders could see its black body! The bottom was visible thanks to a powerful searchlight escaping from its center, the light of which was reflected by the smooth surface of the ship. The beam of the spotlight was not like a cone, but like a cocoon of light, which is also very strange.

However, "plates" (or "triangles") in the area of the ridge will not surprise anyone. The nearest settlement to the anomalous zone is the village of the Second Brigade. Here, over a cup of tea or while husking seeds on a bench, you can hear a story about another doomsday in the sky above a neighbor's barn.

So, when the driver of the night milk truck, Ivan B., stated that he had seen "aliens near the plate," the milkmaids did not laugh at all, but unanimously refused to go to the farm and back at night. And the tractor driver Pyotr S. saw how late in the evening a luminous ship descended on the top of a wooded hill. Raisa B. from the window of her house watched "a luminous ellipse taking off with two searchlights." Later, thanks to her testimony, one of the UFO seats was found. The head of the peasant farm, Ivan Yu., "almost collided with a plate" at night. This meeting ended, according to Ivan, as follows: running away from a stalled truck, he managed to make out “thin people in luminous clothes, with bald heads, and there seemed to be a strange wire on their heads ...”

In addition to the stories, they began to find the alleged landing places of alien guests. The very first clearly visible spot on the grass was noticed by Alexander K. at noon on a hot August 1992. I noticed quite by accident, he almost lay down to rest on a picturesque lawn, had already thrown off his backpack and suddenly drew attention to its strange geometric shapes.

During several expeditions, quite a lot of clear footprints were found on the soil and grass: two round 11-meter, two 8-meter in diameter, three 17-meter, three 5-meter octagonal, one 7-meter hexagonal, three large (facets 55x80x80m) and two small (4.0x4.5x4.5m) triangular. Looking ahead, let's say that in total, as of today, 23 more or less reliable UFO landing sites in this zone are already known.

In 1993, a landing trace of a triangular UFO - 55x80x80 meters - was discovered on a large field. Now this trail is overgrown with shrubs and tall grass, which sharply distinguishes it from the background of a field with a sunflower. With an interval of 200 meters behind this triangle there are two more similar triangles. Most likely, these are traces of even earlier landings (or hoverings) of giant triangular objects. The natural question is: why didn't the local residents plow these tracks under the field for ten years, which obviously interfere with the work of tractor drivers? The answer is simple: they wanted to, but it didn’t work out. The fact is that when approaching these triangular sections, the engines of the tractors stall in unison. Therefore, they decided that it was cheaper to go around the triangular traces around the perimeter than to mess around with a stalled engine every time.

During the expedition, literally a kilometer from the Kosmopoisk camp, in the steppe, a landing trail from a UFO in the form of a circle was discovered. The grass at the site of the alleged UFO landing has acquired strange light shades - from light yellow to brown. In the very center of this spot, at a depth of about 20 centimeters, the remains of worms in the form of hollow tubes were found. The worms themselves seemed to have evaporated.

UFO landing sites are characterized by the following oddities: no increase in background radiation was found anywhere, but everywhere clocks, quartz oscillators “lie” and a variety of indicators go off scale. In such places, in some cases, complete sterilization of the soil occurs, the destruction of all microorganisms - sometimes to a depth of up to half a meter. It is very rare that they find dead or operated animals, strange objects thrown by someone: “balls”, “cylinders”, “pyramids”, etc. Somewhat more often, uninvited guests, on the contrary, grab souvenirs from us, for example, take soil samples, leaving after themselves, pits or vertical holes in the ground up to several tens of meters deep. By the way, according to the reports of the Volgograd regional newspapers in 1992, one of these holes with a diameter of “a fist” was found in a field by local residents. We tried to measure the bottom, but the length of the 5-meter rope was not enough. The “hole” did not look like an ordinary geological or other well, and the hole was simply plowed up.

Despite the fact that expeditions have visited this area more than 35 times, there are no clues to the secrets of the Medveditskaya Mountain - on the contrary, more and more mysteries appear in this strange zone. And perhaps the answers will not be found soon.

In addition to the fact that UFOs of various types appear there almost every week, the Medveditskaya ridge simply attracts fireballs to itself. Here is a whole bunch of them. It is said that sometimes you can observe several fireballs calmly flying low above the ground at once, which easily burn their way through thick tree trunks.

Recently I went there. I am posting some of the best photos taken on June 13, 2009. And in total 204 were done)))

Cropped, broken like matches, trees more than thirty centimeters in diameter, on which burns up to five square meters gape with the blackness of outer space. Strange scorched drawings among thick grass. Rare insects and not a single bird over the slope of furious lightning. A network of gigantic underground tunnels hiding their secret.. these places are simply teeming with UFO sightings. There are also strange triangular objects, luminous round or spherical objects. Some locals claim to have even seen such UFOs land...
This anomalous zone on the territory of our region keeps many more secrets, which are worth very strange keys spouting from the ground. In one place, distilled water comes out of the ground, and in another, a radioactive spring beats

Behind me, she is the Medveditskaya ridge. Popularly called "Slope of mad lightning". You have to go around a strange bluish field that looks like young wheat.

We drove about 18 km from the city of Zhirnovsk. by primer. The most interesting thing is that there are no pictures or maps on the net where it is located. Looks like a secret)) I got a hand-drawn map and navigated by GPS through Google Map.

Climbing up the hill to the left of the "Raging Lightning Slope", there was a forest about 100 meters from the dirt road. Then I saw some fallen trees. It turned out to be birch. Charred from the roots to one meter, and around there is no trace of a fire. Green grass, everything...

About 30 meters to the north is quite a phenomenon. It looks like there is only one birch root, but several trunks have grown. At first I was afraid to approach. The trunks were burned up to 3 meters. It is immediately clear that there was no fire and the trees did not smolder - they just burned out instantly!

The explosion came from underground. A funnel resembling a volcano crater is clearly visible. I found many burnt lumps even 40 meters from the tree. It looks like a great force tore them apart. The grass around is as usual fresh and green, untouched.

Well, it's clear here. The fear that lightning strikes in one place is gone. I just got it. There are already no roots there and lightning from under the ground is no longer visible ..... t))

View from the Medveditskaya ridge to a strangely angular sown or unsown field. The fact is that we did not see a single sown field around. Local collective farmers avoid the "slope of furious lightning" The photo from Google Map also clearly shows what this field looks like. Well, very interesting

I climbed the slope, just below you can see another charred tree. Researchers from the Kosmopoisk detachment once counted about 350 of these. And linear lightning hit the ground, yes, yes, it was the ground, and not the trees, up to 220 times per hour!!!

I have never seen anything like this before... Around the old big tree there is a young shoot of a birch forest, of the same height! This shoot, like a fence, ringed a large birch like a palisade in an even circle! As if protecting her... True, they have all dried up. And they dried up somehow at once ... hmmm ..

From afar one could see a large gray clearing among the lush grass, as it turns out later - it was a circle of about 40 m in diameter! Burnt circle. I do not remember that there were such fireballs. The maximum size of ball lightning was observed here up to one and a half meters

Behind me I see ordinary trees. But their unusualness is that they are planted in an almost perfect triangle. This is clearly visible in the satellite image. the size is approximately 50x50x30. Naturally, some of them also burned.

Looking at how the trees were planted, I realized that these were quite thick and even lines of them. Now it is either charred or dry. I don’t think that they were planted by rural Vanya. Inside the outline of the triangle can be seen well. Although, just do, you need to go there, but not a single tree grows inside, even overgrowth .. Only along the lines. Hmm .. and the grass is calm. As you can see in the picture from the google map, in 2005 these were juicy green trees, but in the center there is mob. Grass is not visible. It feels like everything is on fire at that moment.

Burnt trees in the same strange way, every single one, are tumbled down inside the triangle and look at the center. I read that there are more triangles on the ridge here, supposedly a UFO landing in the 90s. And the technique really stalls when approaching them. heh .. RAV4 was far away))

Another poor tree, once there was a red weeping willow. Incidentally charred a little more unusual. It feels like a person after the fire. The skin is peeling off and you can see the undercooked meat. The feeling here is terrible.

Willow suffered the same unknown fate. Exploded from the ground from the central root. Everything is charred, but not burnt, and the grass around is again green and joyful. I did not dare to go to the field. The situation was already so tense

Then I made my way to the gray clearing through the tall grass and soon I was FUCKING. It was a perfect circle! Like a stamp squeezed out or burnt out in the ground! In the photo, the bumps are the wind shaking the grass.

Further even harder. Whole drawings among the grass. Exactly burnt soil like compacted ashes, but no trace of fire. Not a single trace of the impact that it was rolled with something. Pip in general. I have not read about this anywhere about the ridge.

I took a picture, took out a notebook and drew them. The resulting shape was very reminiscent of drawings as on TV. Which leave UFOs in the fields in different countries of the world.

Another hip bone among the grass, a little to the side.
Although it may be the fruit of our imagination with my brother?? Then come here and check it out. I’ll tell you how to get there)) Although I’ll be happy to come again, but having already prepared thoroughly.

And this is the same gray glade not far from the drawings. Circle diameter approx. 40 meters. By the way, a completely different grass began to grow around him in the ring. Like burdocks, thorns and other crap, something like a barrier.

There was hay in the scorched circle. The roots of the stems were burnt, but the stems are intact. The soil turned out to be just right. Stepping on it is like stepping on a membrane or rubber! removing the foot, the soil rose!! AND THIS IS NOT A SWAMP! The very composition of the soil was like ashes ..

Picking up the ashes, it looked like the earth first melted like lava, and then cooled down ... By the way, at that moment, my brother's daughter said, - Dad, it seems to me that someone is watching us. But really, I also had the feeling that we were being watched.

This is what the soil looks like. But the hole in the ground is not from a mole. It looks like lightning. By the way, we never noticed a single bird above this slope, there were no grasshoppers and insects in the usual multitude, no butterflies. Only rare ants and flies. The compass began to lie.

This is a mysterious tree, with its guards. The only such large and untouched by the elements. And its trunk, as if cut off, and planted a birch in it. Well, very strange. When we tried to climb inside, we were seized by a terrible fear. I had to retreat...

No one knows exactly when the first people appeared in these places. The Scythians existed here for quite a long time before our era, which is confirmed by numerous burial mounds in the area. But besides them, here (perhaps earlier, but not later than the 15th-16th centuries) north-north-east of the Medveditskaya ridge lived unknown tribes who covered a huge field with small mounds up to half a meter high. The Scythians usually didn't do that.

Quite by chance, not far from the Medveditskaya ridge, near the village of Nizhnyaya Dobrinka, the builders accidentally dug up another ancient burial ground, where the skeletons of giants turned out to be, people 2.5 meters tall, who lived here, perhaps long before our era. And on the other side of the Medveditsa River, upstream, near the village of Melovatka, other diggers have already unearthed an ancient burial place of the Lilliputians, whose height did not exceed 50-60 cm!

UFO landing sites
Various UFOs, "saucers" (or "triangles") in the Medveditskaya ridge area will not surprise anyone. The nearest settlement to the anomalous zone is the village of the Second Brigade, whose inhabitants are happy to share descriptions of cases of UFO sightings and encounters with aliens.

Expeditions began to find alleged landing sites for alien guests on the Medveditskaya ridge. Quite a lot of clear traces of a triangular shape of various sizes were found on the soil and grass. Once an octagonal footprint was found in a field of lush grass. Subsequently, in this place there were traces on the grass of varying degrees of preservation. In total, as of today, 23 more or less reliable UFO landing sites in this zone are already known. In the area of the Medveditskaya ridge, researchers managed to see various types of UFOs about 15 times, three of them so close that they could see the details.

In 1993, a landing trace of a triangular UFO measuring 55x80x80 meters was discovered in a large field. Of course, the question may arise - why didn't the local residents plow these tracks under the field for ten years, occupying the usable area on the field and interfering with work? The fact is that when approaching these triangular sections, the engines of the tractors stall in unison. Therefore, they decided that it was cheaper to go around the triangular traces around the perimeter than to mess around with a stalled engine every time.

Another special place is a huge scorched circle, on which there is no vegetation, although grass grows around it.

The UFO landing sites on the Medveditskaya ridge are characterized by the following oddities: no increase in the radiation background was found anywhere, but the clock, quartz generators fail and a variety of indicators go off scale. There are cases when in such places there was a complete sterilization of the soil, the destruction of all microorganisms - sometimes to a depth of up to half a meter. Quite rarely, dead or operated animals are found on the Medveditskaya ridge, strange objects thrown by someone: “balls”, “cylinders”, “pyramids”, etc. Somewhat more often, uninvited guests, on the contrary, grab souvenirs from us, for example, they take samples soil, leaving behind pits or vertical holes in the ground up to several tens of meters deep. By the way, according to the reports of the Volgograd regional newspapers in 1992, one of these holes with a diameter of “a fist” was found in a field on the Medveditskaya ridge by local residents. We tried to measure the bottom, but the length of the 5-meter rope was not enough. The “hole” did not look like an ordinary geological or other well, and the hole was simply plowed up.

Caves and tunnels
According to the stories of old-timers, there are caves on the Medveditskaya ridge, which are flat and parallel to each other underground tunnels with a diameter, according to various sources, from 6 to 20 meters, moreover, having smooth and even walls. According to legend, in ancient times, the Volga robbers used the tunnels, then the gypsy horse thieves, who imperceptibly led the horses through these caves in an unknown direction. However, during the war in 1942, the entrance to the tunnels was allegedly blown up.
In geology, there is a term "red stripe" - those places where modern methods the bowels of the planet are not visible. In the entire USSR at the end of the 20th century, only two such places remained: near Tbilisi and here, in the Volga region, on the Medveditskaya ridge. No matter how much exploration did not try, it was not able to probe the soil to a depth of more than several tens of meters, something tightly blocked the path of seismic waves. The simplest hypothesis that comes to mind is a gigantic void filled with air underground. But the void cannot hang “just like that”, the vault must rest on the bottom at least with columns, and the columns, although in a different way, still conduct seismic waves! So it's not just empty space. One would like to say that these places seem to be covered from an extraneous curious look by a kind of screen, but so far this is nothing more than a hypothesis of the researchers of the Medveditskaya ridge.

When researching from the surface, it immediately caught my eye that the indicator of the width of the cave arch was suspiciously constantly kept - about 7 m. Secondly, the cave was elongated in one direction. The cave at a distance of at least 4.5 km was as straight as an arrow.

And is it a cave? How can you call a hollow underground structure that accurately maintains direction and width over the entire distance? So far, such smooth underground rivers, caves, faults or cracks have not been known in nature. And not just equal. Under the top of one of the mountains of the Medveditskaya ridge, it was found that the cave, still flat, expands to 35 m, and at least 3 of the same 7-meter branches left this formed hall in different directions at different angles. There was simply not enough time to trace their direction further, and one could only guess that at least 2 of them were going to already known UFO landing sites.

And in the 1980s, in the village closest to the Medveditskaya ridge, a large beautiful pond suddenly dried up - a local landmark. The local village leader tried several times to fill it with water, invited land reclamators to do this, but the specialists were powerless to fix anything. Their diagnosis read: somewhere through the formed crack, water goes into underground voids. What kind of voids these are - no one knew for sure, of course, mysterious tunnels come to mind.

There are many hypotheses to explain the existence of the tunnels of the Medveditskaya ridge. Some of the locals are convinced that these formations are a secret base of the Soviet (or Russian) military. And flying objects are not UFOs, but our, Russian ultra-modern aircraft. Others agree that this is a military base, but it was created after all alien aliens. Or it's just a transport network to move their aircraft.

There are also hypotheses among scientists that these caves of the Medveditskaya ridge are of completely natural origin, either structures of ancient civilizations, or modern ones, but living in another dimension.

Long time all attempts to find the entrance to the caves were unsuccessful, but finally luck smiled at the researchers. First of all, they were interested in the structure of the walls. On the one hand, the walls are straight as an arrow for hundreds of meters or even kilometers. On the other hand, there are no signs that someone laid out the walls, although they are stone, they do not have seams. You can’t call strong walls in any way - the material slowly but surely crumbles with strong blows even from a small sapper shovel. As if the same surrounding sand and stones were pressed or even burned by someone or something. Later analysis will show that the walls of the round hole were indeed burned. Either people or fireballs could burn such smooth passages. One lightning cannot do such work, but hundreds and thousands, yes, for a thousand years. And people only took advantage of the fruits of the painstaking work of the burners of the earth's bowels.

A new version of the origin of the caves has appeared - the gradual burning of passages in the earth by ball lightning, which fly along the same routes (including underground ones) for many, many years (and possibly centuries and millennia).

Other strange and interesting places
There are several main anomalous places on the Medveditskaya ridge: the place where the caves are located, the Blue Mountain tract (slope of furious lightning), famous for its fireballs, and Devil's Lair, where many mysterious events also take place.

But sometimes very strange things happen where no one expects to see them. Either fog, which does not obey any laws of physics and exists according to some of its own special laws (after walking through the fog, the exposed parts of the body of the researchers turned out to be burned, as if due to the bright sun, although it was October outside), then a violation of the flow time, then unusual finds.

On one of the highest hills on the Medveditskaya ridge, the remains of the foundation from a wooden palisade wall are still slightly guessed, next to the wall there is a ditch overgrown with weeds. Who owned this forest fortress is unknown. Not far away, already almost on the slope of the approaching ravine, there is the foundation of an ancient T-shaped structure. There was no doubt that it was an ancient temple - the foundation was strictly oriented to the cardinal points (while the lower pillar of the letter “T” looked exactly to the south). Experienced archaeologists have dated the ruins of the Medveditskaya ridge to the 1st century AD.

In the same place on the Medveditskaya ridge in July 1993, a strange metal find was accidentally discovered - a bronze alloy rod twisted into a double right- and left-handed spiral, the maximum size of which is 5 cm. The “spiral” was brought to Moscow, where it led to a slight shock to archaeologists: there should not be such products, made of such an alloy, covered with such green varnish, in the ancient Volga region on the banks of the Medveditsa River! In ancient Greece, there was something similar, but far from the same! Then where did she come from on the Medveditskaya ridge?

Once, 2 strange wells were found, located right on one of the forest roads of the Medveditskaya ridge. They were not very similar to wells dug by an ordinary drill: there was no ejection of soil, the inlet diameter was smaller than the inner diameter of the well, one of the wells at a depth of about 1 m turned sideways at a right angle, in another well at a depth of half a meter a brick fragment protruded strongly (from ancient masonry?), which a hypothetical drill, when drilling the soil, would certainly have to bring down. The origin of the wells remains unknown.

Near the Shanghai Hill on the Medveditskaya ridge, back in the 1980s, 3 places with swollen earth were seen. And in August 1998, two more were found in the same place, 200 meters to the east. Tubercles 2-3 m in diameter, 30-40 cm high from cracked earth. In 1997, a strip of swollen cracked earth 3 m wide and at least a kilometer long was noticed on the Medveditskaya ridge; the strip originates near the main tunnel and goes to the southwest, where it is lost in ravines.

Sometimes, on the Medveditskaya ridge, accurate clocks begin to record oddities in the speed of ordinary time. Mechanical watches are late a day from 5 minutes to an hour and a half. Some clocks stop for a while, then start running again. The largest difference in the course of chronometers compared to the background indicators were anomalies in the area of the landing sites and on the Slope of fireballs.

Very often, on the Medveditskaya ridge, clouds and clouds take on various unusual shapes. The researchers observed a cloud in the form of a bearded old man without arms, a cloud-television screen, but the most unusual is a cloud in the form of a fish, which was observed even twice with an interval of several weeks.

Once, several people observed strange lights running across the field at night (reminiscent of the lights of St. Elmo, but not on hills, but on a flat field). In the morning, the Izvestia newspaper for 1938 was found at this place in excellent condition. A later inspection of the newspaper confirmed that it was indeed not a copy, printed on paper and in the format that was in circulation in the pre-war years. Of course, many of those who saw the find put forward the most fantastic hypotheses of its appearance, including the fact that someone brought it from the past.

The Medveditskaya ridge is also very fertile for archaeological research. Once upon a time, dinosaur bones were found here near the Medveditsa River, now you can pick up a basket of ancient belemnites (“devil's fingers”), shells and other fossil things from the ground without bothering yourself in half an hour. Not far from one of the villages there is a spring from which radioactive water flows. Nowhere on the Medveditskaya ridge there is even a hint of radiation, but here it is as if the strongest radioactive source underground, what kind of source is unknown. A water sample indicated the close location of rich uranium deposits, but the deposit could not be found, since it did not exist at all. But it was noticed that this spring is often hit by lightning. And in another place on the Medveditskaya ridge, distilled water comes out of the ground!

In addition, many people leave and simply disappear. In August 1993, Nikolai Kh., an amateur ufologist from the Krasnodar Territory, left for “reconnaissance” and did not return. At the place where he was last seen, they found a large dent, as if a giant press had pressed on the soil. Some eyewitnesses claim that a UFO was observed at the same time. In January 2004, a tourist from Bashkiria disappeared on the Medveditskaya ridge. Some travelers managed to be found in hot pursuit. However, people, as a rule, behave strangely: they are inhibited, do not want to go back, they do not remember well how they landed in this area.
There are also chilling stories about how people, animals and cars fall through the ground on the Medveditskaya ridge. A lot of mysterious things happen here. In particular, even a person who has been to this place several times can get lost here. Often on the Medveditskaya ridge you can see a mirage - some acquaintance, who at the very place is at this time far from this place.

But, nevertheless (and maybe thanks to all these strange things), the Medveditskaya ridge attracts every summer many researchers or tourists who want to see a UFO flight or ball lightning, visit the Crazy Lightning Slope or the Drunken Grove.

Information and research results of Vadim Chernobrov and ONIOO Kosmopoisk were used

This year, the May holidays have traditionally become an occasion for a small expedition to new unexplored places. This time, our target was the Medveditskaya ridge, shrouded in an aura of mystery: UFO landing sites, fireballs, death from spontaneous combustion, unusual underground caves - the Internet was full of articles of this kind.

Rice. 1. Medveditskaya ridge: in search of anomalies

The Medveditskaya ridge gained its fame mainly due to the association "Kosmopoisk" - avid ufologists and collectors (and maybe creators) of stories about anomalous phenomena. Moreover, the Kosmopoisk group created a so-called "time machine" on the territory of the Medveditskaya ridge, with which they carried out some of their experiments. And there are many other artifacts designed to maintain the image of the Medveditskaya ridge as an anomalous zone. But first things first.

There is no public transport to the Medveditskaya ridge and to nearby villages. Of course, there is an option to get with transfers to Zhirnovsk and there again on the bedstead. However, this time we decided to use personal vehicles.

In total, there were 3 independent crews:

The route was assumed according to the following plan (map with coordinates):

1st day

We get from Togliatti to the Volgograd region, there we get up at the Kamenny ravine, not far from Aleksandrovka, and spend the night.

2nd day

First half of the day to search and sightseeing in both ravines (Kamenny and Bolshoi Kamenny). Among other things, we are looking for and exploring caves. There are at least two of them in the Big Stone Ravine: the cave "Dragon's Nostrils" and the second one, whose name I don't know.

The second half of the day - on the road to the Medveditskaya ridge and the search and inspection of anomalous places known from photographs and descriptions from the Internet.

3rd day

Perhaps an inspection of what has not yet been seen and the road home.

Our (first) group had the opportunity to leave a day earlier (we will call it Day 0), thereby scouting the area in advance and providing the second and third groups with the necessary coordinates of what we find. Therefore, it was decided to immediately drive to Medveditskaya, and the next day to go to the Kamenny ravine - to meet two other groups, and at the same time to scout the road. However, these plans were not destined to come true ...

Day 0

Adventures began already in Tolyatti. We planned to leave early in the morning, but the car (by the way, 1990 release) flatly refused to start. As a result, it was possible to leave only after lunch.

The second surprise is the roads of the Volgograd region. As soon as we turned off the federal highway from Kalininsk towards Zhirnovsk, the road didn’t just end. It became an obstacle course: huge pits thickly covered what had once been asphalt. Judging by the size of the pits, they have been "growing" for more than a year. Somehow, maybe five years, maybe more. Classic post-bomb look. And in the darkness of the night, the pits, snatched out by the headlights, looked even more ominous and unpredictable. As a result, our average speed to Zhirnovsk (and then we planned to go even further, to Medveditskaya) was about 5-10 km / h.

30 km before Zhirnovsk, already late at night, the gas tank light began to blink. Then this periodic blinking grew into a steady glow. We arrived at the gas station in Zhirnovsk with the last drop of gasoline. Near the city, the roads became much better, which encouraged us and encouraged us to continue moving towards Medveditskaya. But outside the city the roads "ended" again. Again broken, almost "Martian" landscape and extreme maneuvering between craters. Already closer to the morning, when the sun was peeping over the horizon, we decided to stop a little before reaching the village called Aleshniki. We were already on the road for about 14 hours and everyone was pretty exhausted. Especially the driver The Dragon) and navigator ( I), which, unlike the rear passengers, did not close their eyes all the way. We drove into the field, set up camp, had a quick bite to eat and plunged into a deep, but short sleep.

Day 1

We slept for about 4 hours. For the last hour, sleeping to the barking of village dogs and the rattling of heavy equipment periodically passing by us: tractors, shift workers, and the like. We got up, boiled water on the burner, had a good breakfast and packed up the camp. On a small council, they decided that it was impossible to continue driving along such a road (after Aleshnikov, they had to drive about 15 more kilometers to Novinki). Therefore, we decided to go on dirt roads. It was later that we found out that the locals do just that, they drive on dirt roads, instead of the "official route", which is drawn by all navigators without exception.

We were about to leave, but the car would not start again. Another two hours were spent on her rehabilitation. But polar explorer I didn’t have enough patience, and he went ahead, saying that they would pick it up on the way, as soon as we fix it. Repaired. We decided to go to Aleshniki to get drinking water from the pump. From there to the fields. Eh, what a beauty it was - to fly on even elastic ground, especially after yesterday's "transfers" along the gullies.

We were guided by the view from space - I loaded the necessary section of Google maps in advance so that you could use navigation even in the "offline" mode. But unlike the roads, the Internet was. And even mostly 3G. Of course, the scale of the maps was not very large, and one had to peer into the barely noticeable lines of roads that entangled the Aleshnikov fields like veins. A couple of times I had to go back and choose a different direction. But on the other hand, in less than an hour we reached the Medveditskaya ridge and, standing on its very crest, began to look around.

Rice. 2. Respite on the crest of the Medveditskaya ridge

Rice. 3. But you can also see the slope of furious lightning, later we will go to it

Rice. 4. found some kind of mineral, which at first we took for a piece of ore. However, he did not show any magnetic properties (for reliability, they even measured it with a magnetometer)

Rice. 5. Such marvelous blue flowers grow on the ridge. Unfortunately, I haven't determined what it could be yet.

By the way, I forgot to say that we were thoroughly equipped for the expedition: dosimeter, magnetometer, threshold voltage indicator. If we are looking for anomalies, then on all fronts. And it helps to deal with iron ore :)

Also, I took my GoPro action camera with me and sometimes tried to shoot. Therefore, I will periodically dilute this article with video inserts. Here is the first one:

The path to the anomalous zone of the Medveditskaya ridge

We went down the hill into the valley. And there is no Polaris. That's when the phone rang. It turns out that the polar explorer saw how we drove past him. But the phone did not catch him, so he had to return to the Aleshnikovs to get through to us.

They began to think what to do. It was not an option to go back - then there would not be enough gasoline to get to Zhirnovsk - but only there is the nearest gas station. Phoned again, decided to wait. Where to go? And while we wait, once again and inspect Raging Lightning Slope.

Rice. 6. The car was left in the valley, because gasoline is worth its weight in gold

Rice. 7. The slope is full of charred tree remains.

Rice. 8. And a good view opens from above - the photo is almost like a Windows XP screensaver

Rice. 9. looking for images for macro photography

Rice. 10. And I already found :)

Rice. 11. View of the slope

Rice. 12. And there in the distance you can see our Niva

Rice. 13. Nearby is a small lake, but we never got to it

Rice. fourteen.

Rice. 15. For the first time I see moss growing on an open slope, without trees.

Rice. 16. And this is either a karst failure, or someone once dug a hole. Carefully lined with fallen trunks

Rice. 17.

Rice. 19. We go deep into the forest

Rice. 20. Dead, twisted and scorched trees everywhere

Rice. 25. And this birch was broken in general

Rice. 26. Male lizards (Lacerta agilis) - on the contrary, he is very comfortable in such a windbreak

Rice. 27.

And here is another video sketch of how we wandered and strayed along the Slope of Furious Lightning:

Raging Lightning Slope

The "beautiful pink" (at the end of the video) turned out to be a wild almond (thanks to our readers for helping me figure it out). A bush with white flowers is a wild cherry.

Rice. 28. Wild cherry and almond blossoms, a beautiful combination of white and pink

Rice. 29. Common cherry (Prunus cerasus)

Rice. thirty. Steppe almond (Prunus tenella)

Rice. 31. The sign says: "Aleshnikovskoye hunting farm, hunting without permits is prohibited." But I still don't understand who to hunt here. Possibly on some migratory birds in season

Rice. 32. Some kind of pit was found near the road that runs along the border with the forest. The lizard has already gotten into it. Later, we threw a twig at her so she could get out.

Rice. 33. It looked like they were taking soil samples. The soil is this color

Rice. 34. And next to it, stones similar to our "iron ore" were stacked in a pyramid. Apparently someone wanted to bring some kind of sacred meaning. In general, there will be many more man-made pyramids on Medveditskaya. Seekers of the anomalous and the "forbidden" are not original.

While we were waiting for the Polar explorer and wandered along the ridge, the day smoothly turned into evening. There was no point in going to Zhirnovsk. In the process, we called up two other groups. The group on Kalina decided to stay at the first point, near the Kamenny ravine, and the group on Grant decided to get to us anyway. And when you get there - to get even for the fact that they made confusion in pre-agreed plans :)

Moreover, the Polar explorer did not have a map or a compass with him, and he walked "by eye" in the approximate direction that we determined in the morning. Therefore, he passed by, a little to the right of the Raging Lightning Hill. But it bore fruit - he went to the Kosmopoisk camp. At that moment even inhabited. We met at the crossroads, conferred. We decided to go to the camp and spend the night already there. Water (spring), equipped parking place (a huge table with benches and a fireplace) - all the amenities.

Rice. 35. At the entrance to the Kosmopoisk camp

Rice. 36.

Upon arrival, the first thing we did was greet other travelers who had set up their camp here. We talked. Almost immediately they were sent (in the good sense of the word) to the main local attraction: "Time Machine".

Rice. 37. In the photo from left to right: the lost Polar explorer, and

Checked out the time machine

Time machine, Cosmopoisk

Rice. 38. An artifact created by hands also has a lower level, its purpose is unknown

Rice. 39. And inside the "Time Machine", something like a boiler

Rice. 40. A person can easily fit there, or maybe two

Everything is made of iron and concrete, plus wire wraps (which are already torn in many places).

Rice. 41. And on a tree near the camp hangs such a "lightning trap"

In the evening we played the guitar, got to know the neighbors better. Who is from Moscow, who is from Voronezh. Some came with the whole family, including the dog Chupacabra(why it is called that, see below). They did not particularly count on UFOs, they also came more likely out of interest.

They went to bed long after midnight. The next day, they also planned to rush through the fields to Zhirnovsk, refuel and finally visit Stone ravines(large and small).

Day 2

We didn't plan to leave early in the morning. Only some 30 kilometers to Zhirnovsk along the field roads, there was nowhere to rush. Therefore, I found time to take some pictures of the surroundings of our camp.

Rice. 42. The camp itself is quite densely populated. There are two of our cars (on the left). Neighbors have three more

Rice. 43. These are the neighbors' tents

Rice. 44. And this is our clearing

Rice. 45. The table was long enough to accommodate everything and everyone

Rice. 46. Not far from the camp stands a concrete idol

Rice. 47. And the lizards frolic

Rice. 48. And that "pyramid frame" of crossed trunks serves as a good pointer to the spring. By the way, near the spring there are two more pyramids cast from concrete (one of them is located exactly under the wooden frame)

Rice. 49.

One of the most interesting moments for me this morning was this little "pebble":

This thing is not from the Medveditskaya ridge. She was found by one of our new acquaintances, Andrey, somewhere in the vastness of the Voronezh region. The photo is clearly visible melting bark- as they say, the first sign of the extraterrestrial origin of the find. It could be assumed that this meteorite. However, such an almost perfectly round shape is confusing. So, perhaps, this object was subjected to extremely high temperatures here, on Earth. So the question "what is it?" remains open. But in any case, the object is very interesting. Perhaps the most interesting of our entire Medveditskaya expedition.

But time is running out and it's time to move on. The road was laid through the fields, we are also guided by the navigator and by the view from space.

Along the way we meet interesting stone buildings:

Rice. 50. These are the so-called Millerovka artifacts- unfinished railway of the beginning of the 20th century

There are two caves in the photo, one is called Dragon Nostrils I don't know the name of the second one. However, it is located in the same ravine opposite the Dragon Nostrils.

On the way back (now we are going along the route of the navigator, which he drew for us in the morning, without turning off), we meet another artifact of the milling - a water conduit tunnel.

Rice. 55.

Rice. 56.

Rice. 57. The setting sun and the reflection in the water make it a tunnel into some kind of fairy-tale world.

Rice. 58. And from the very mound, the world on the other side is somewhat reminiscent of the Hobbit Shire

Rice. 59.

Rice. 60. On the embankment itself, someone has already rolled out the ruts. But our road runs below, along it

Rice. 61. We were about to leave, but the sun went down even lower and began to peep through the tunnel

Rice. 62. I could not resist and took a couple more photos

We arrived at the camp already in the late twilight. There we were waiting for a ready-made dinner - everyone was worried and waiting for our return.

Day 3

On this day, we planned to leave early, because we already knew what road awaits us from Zhirnovsk to Kalininsk and how much time we will spend on it. However, before the road it was worth washing the car from the dirt with which it doused itself the previous day on the peninsula. Therefore, they left the camp last. According to tradition, they took their garbage to throw it in the city.

There was a queue at the gas station in Zhirnovsk. And not that many cars, just a fuel truck came and poured gasoline into underground bunkers. Didn't know it took so long. We were there for about an hour and a half. But we talked to other drivers and learned how to cut off, or rather bypass the often "bombed" road Zhirnovsk-Kalininsk. Not so much, but still better than driving through these craters.

We drove from Kalininsk without incident. We arrived in Tolyatti just in time for the fireworks (we returned on May 9). We managed to admire it in the Komsomolsky district, near the river station.

Good afternoon! I want to clarify - you did not cross the Medveditsa, but the Perevozinka River, which originates somewhere under Novinka and flows into the Medveditsa. The Bear itself is still quite far from that place.

Thanks a lot for the clarification! I checked on the map, indeed, this is just a tributary of the Bear. True, Google does not know its name. I'll fix it in the description.

Skif: thanks for the story, now it's clear how difficult the road was for your group.
I thought to give a description of the road that our "quintet" overcame on the "Grant", but only there are no photographs, but in one word - it will probably be uninteresting. Dmitry.

Perhaps I will do so, I will give my vision. For our group on the Grant, the trip passed without such an abundance of adventures, although it was not easy for me, a Samarchan, to join. I had to wake up at 4 in the morning and cross the entire Bezymyanka to get to the departure of the ultra-early train "Pyatiletka-Zhig. Sea-Courage" at 5:50. I waited only three minutes at Zhig. More, then Granta arrived with Maxim, Rada, Misha Kryukov and Yulia. We arrived without much difficulty, the road passed Syzran, Khvalynsk, Saratov through the district center Zhirnovsk in the north of the Volgograd region. Once we stopped for a refectory halt, and a couple more times - to stretch the bones and relieve the flat-bottom syndrome. Roads on some stretches were worse than in Samara - solid craters! Maxim drove the car quickly, at the same time skillfully went around potholes, there were no shocks or damage. He had a navigator and a smartphone with Yandex maps, without them it would have been impossible to find a parking spot, the coordinates were downloaded on the Internet, and then they were confirmed by Roma and SkiF. We got to the parking lot on the evening of May 7th, set up tents, I fiddled with a hacksaw to stock up firewood, and only after that did I have the opportunity to look around, get to know other guests. There were two more cars with residents of the Moscow region: Andrey and his wife and another woman from Voronezh arrived in one, Oleg and his wife Sasha, their daughters Sonya and Katya "Kitten" and a dog that Sasha called "Mexican naked" ( I also named the breed, but the tricky name flew out of my memory). The parking lot was located on the western slope of a long gentle hill under the cover of birches and low aspens, there was a dirt road on the edge, and then a treeless wide valley in which a semi-dry lake was visible at the very bottom, individual trees grew along the thalweg, the steppe was unplowed. Even further away were the fields, separated by a semblance of forest belts, and on the horizon - a chain of hills with ravines overgrown with forest. In general, it seems to be an ordinary picture of the steppe area, but it looked picturesque in the rays of sunset against the background of bright green young grass. Birds sang in the trees - nightingales, finches, cuckoos, an owl hooted all night long. Later it turned out that the steppe is full of living creatures - gophers, marmots, hares, foxes, partridges, eagles ... We also met ticks, but they were inactive. Just below the camp in a steppe hollow there was a well-equipped spring - clean cold water flowed from a stone gutter, the path and approaches were paved with flat pebbles, next to it was a tripod made of thick high poles tied with wire. The camp was also well equipped, there was a hearth and a solid wooden table.
The parking lot, as it turned out, was equipped by a group of ufologists already 15 years ago, it even had a name - "Kosmopoisk". A little higher (east) of the camp is a man-made object - the "Time Machine", a concrete sphere with a wall thickness of about 7 cm and a diameter of just over 2 m with an opening, in the inner cavity there is another sphere of a smaller diameter, about 1 m, also with an opening. Mounted in the outer sphere were... electromagnets! Coils wound with copper wire about 1 mm in diameter and containing about (seemingly) 50 turns each, are located on the outer sphere at intervals of about 40 cm, they are connected in series, and the legend says that if a current is passed, then time inside flows more slowly. Brad, right? After all, time, this fundamental physical entity, does not depend on magnetic fields at all! With the same success, strong permanent magnets, which are used to brake water meters, could be concreted into the sphere. Yes, you can make a compass go berserk, magnetize a mechanical watch, but in general, the speed of the passage of time is described by a relativistic theory, where the main factor is speed, and its relationship with the speed of light, as well as gravity is accompanied by speed ... And magnetic fields, I declare responsibly, they do not affect the course of time in any way. Recall the Large Hadron Collider, where the magnetic field is created by superconducting magnets, the field strength is much higher than in the Time Machine, but the continuum is not violated. We sat in the "Machine" with a clock different systems, counted the seconds aloud, and found no anomalies. However, we did not connect the current, no one wanted to destroy the battery, and we noticed that one of the coils fell off and it was clear that the wire was broken.
It quickly got dark, and a cold breeze blew from the hills, but even that couldn't really disperse the mosquitoes. We threw wood on the fire and sat down. Skif, you somehow disparagingly wrote: "... played the guitar ...", the concert was great! Songs of the folk group "Birds of the Thorn" were performed, as well as "classics" - songs of the groups "Melnitsa", "Korol i Shut", a guitar, a shaman tambourine, a flute and a Peruvian oArina were used. And Roma also parodied the throat song of Tuvan monks in the style of the Khuun-Khuur-Tu ensemble, accompanied by himself on the tambourine, and also performed a small potpourri on wind instruments, in which both the "Theme of the Lonely Shepherd" and the theme from "Titanic" were easily guessed, and the theme from "The Hound of the Baskervilles". The voice of the instruments in the open space sounds unusual, no audio or video recording will convey the impression. Maxim also sang several songs with the guitar. Muscovites were delighted with the concert! The sky was strewn with thousands of bright unblinking stars, the voice of an owl was an excellent accompaniment, we didn’t want to disperse, but the tiring road made itself felt, and after midnight we dispersed into tents.
On the morning of May 8, I woke up at 7 o'clock, went to the spring for water, and by the time I returned, the "lynxes" woke up - Misha Kryukov fanned the coals of the fire, Yulia took food. The cauldrons were set on fire. Muscovites woke up too. The sky was clear, the Sun was shining, soon the coolness of the night was replaced by warmth, the birds sang. We ate and planned our next steps. We decided that Roma and his companions would go on the Niva to Zhirnovsk, refuel there (they had almost zero gas), and go to one of the planned inspection sites - Kamenny Ravine, and our group on the Grant would go there, but before that, he will go around for inspection those objects that our friends, who arrived half a day earlier, have already managed to see. There were many of them: Crazy Lightning Slope, the grave of a shepherd who died from one of these lightnings, anomalous triangles in plowed fields (supposedly tractors stalled when trying to drive there, as a result, these patches were abandoned, and they were overgrown with trees and bushes). and a grove of drunken birches. This is how intriguingly these points are described on the Internet. They are located at a considerable distance from each other, for many kilometers, you can’t get around on foot in 3 days. I am an ardent opponent of autotravel, but the car really helped us save time. Having entered the coordinates into the navigator and taking a minimum of equipment, we wished Roma and his companions a good road, and drove off.
The slope of Crazy Lightning was the closest - "only" three kilometers away, in fact it is a gentle ravine-hollow free from large trees, resembling a deformed parabolic mirror in profile. We concluded that during a thunderstorm such a surface can focus electromagnetic pulses from ordinary lightning at a certain point in space, which provokes the appearance of plasmoids, i.e. ball lightning, this is a known fact, there is nothing unusual in this. They tried to find at least one tree in which ball lightning burned a hole, but to no avail. The trees kept only the marks of grassy steppe fires. It was pointless to wait for the appearance of lightning, there were only light clouds in the sky. Headed to the "anomalous triangles" in the field. We found them by coordinates without difficulty, in the hollow of an extended field between the groves there were three groves - "pegs", but not triangular, but similar to a plectrum, which guitarists use. The clock was ticking, the cell phones were working, the compass showed north correctly - again nothing out of the ordinary! "They just didn't start demolishing the trees, it's a common thing," we decided. We examined the grave. A modest iron obelisk with a star, a half-rusted tablet, a photo, a surname - "Slepushkov", a wooden fence around ... Nothing unusual either, and is it a grave - maybe just a monument at the site of the death of a shepherd? .. Die in an open field from lightning , falling under a thunderstorm, no matter how blasphemous it sounds, almost a pattern. What happens to a person when a lightning discharge passes through him at a current of hundreds of thousands of amperes and a voltage of several billion volts, I will not describe, this is not for the faint of heart ... Well, we also have a lot of "drunk" birches - twisted, massively withered after the drought of 2010, we did not stay there for a long time.
We went on the navigator to Zhirnovsk along field dirt roads, noting that they are even better than asphalt ones! But in one place at the intersection with a beam (hollow) they ran into a puddle, turned around, went to a detour - an extra 8 km. Having approached a fork in the road on the outskirts of the regional center, they waited for their friends, but they called, said that they had stalled in a puddle, that "they would get out and drive up now," and that if there were difficulties, they would call again. We decided to have a bite to eat and then head to the ravine. Oil pumping stations worked nearby - there is a strong oil field in the vicinity of the town. We examined two ravines (the one that was described on the Internet was never found), did not meet any marine fossils and boulders, they were just scree rocks on the bend of the steppe gullies, washed out by the spring watercourse, nothing more. The rocks there are sandstone-dolomite, unlike what we have in the Zhiguli. We saw a lot of fox or badger holes. Gathering back, they phoned Roma and found out that their affairs were much worse than he originally described: their carburetor was flooded with water, they sat down on the dirt, the car tilted, and fuel was not coming out of the gas tank due to the low level! And that for 4 hours already the four of them have been draining the puddle, pouring rubble into the mud and pushing the car out ... We started looking for them, for an hour and a half we rushed around the field dirt roads and hills, but the area was unfamiliar and without orientation, and we couldn’t find them! And the Sun was sinking, it was soon to become dark, we considered it our duty to help pull out vehicle. Seven of us (companions do not count) it would be easier to do this. It turned out that "our" puddle, that we were frightened, Roma on his "Niva" crossed lightly, and they got stuck in an even deeper puddle 5 km to the west, it was necessary to find an approach to that place from the other side ... It's almost found, suddenly Roma's call: "We got out, we're going to a gas station, we saw your car from afar." Like this! But we never saw them, well, since we got out, then we, with a clear conscience, turned around and headed to the camp, along the way we examined the culvert tunnel on a strange embankment that looked like it was unfinished Railway, and near the semi-abandoned village of Novinki, they examined the remains of cowsheds, built from local boulders and fastened with clay-lime mortar. The skulls and bones of farm animals, with horns, were scattered near the ruins, they were hardly distinguishable in the grass, they looked like boulders. Maxim and Misha chose something and took it with them, and left a couple of goat horns at the camp when they left, in addition to the skull that someone had previously left on a stump. In thick twilight we reached the camp, cooked dinner, waited for the Niva, had a snack, exchanged impressions of the adventure. Muscovites Andrei with his wife and a woman from Voronezh went home at night, we saw them off, wished them a good journey. And they themselves went to bed, already without a concert.
On the morning of May 9, I woke up at 5:25, moments before the alarm went off. I deliberately decided to get up early, not only to take shape without haste, but also to look at the morning steppe landscape, which, for all its typicalness, I already managed to like, and which, apparently, I will never be able to see alive again. I got out of the tent, took an eggplant, went to the spring. The sky was clear, it was cool and calm, there was a dew on the grass. The sun had not yet risen, the green hills and copses were in shadow. The silence was broken only by a discordant bird choir. Beauty, in a word! Surely in the middle of summer, instead of this lush greenery, only dried steppe grass will remain, but so far everything looked fresh and blooming. I put the bottle under the spring stream, walked to the bottom of the valley, there was a lake with reeds and a stream, on the way I saw another barn foundation, overgrown with herbs and similar to those seen the day before. He brought water to the camp, our people were already waking up, rubbing their sleepy eyes. We had a bite to eat, folded, collected garbage in bags to throw it into a container at some gas station along the way. I even managed to flatten the tin cans and put them in the grass in the lowland. Oleg and Sasha, Muscovites, asked us to "tail" to Zhirnovsk, so as not to look for a way in the fields. But Roma and his companions remained for the time being, the Niva required prophylaxis, we said goodbye to them and the camp, drove off, scaring away gophers and foxes in the fields. Having reached the asphalt, we stopped, shook hands with Muscovites, well, and then our paths parted. The road passed without incident, only the return did not go according to plan. We drove along the bypass roads, without stopping at any of the cities, including Syzran (Maxim explained: “The roads are dead, and there are a lot of traffic lights, it will take more time than by the bypass”), so I took the train at 17:50 I didn’t have time, and the downpour covered our car from a thickening cloud, and yet we had to leave the bus station of the New City. I ended up at home at 10 pm, and also managed to watch the Victory salute from the roof of my 5-story building.
This is how the "MedvedItsia" passed, it was interesting to see those places, and, of course, to chat with like-minded people. It so happened that we became "destroyers of legends", we did not find anything supernatural that could not be logically explained. At the same time, there was also a reason to learn a little more about the history of the places we visited. It turned out that before the war there was the Republic of Volga Germans - an entity that was later abolished. That strange embankment that we examined was indeed prepared in the 30s of the 20th century for the construction of the Saratov-Millerovo railway, but now it will never be built again: there are other transport routes - the Volga-Don Canal, the Saratov-Ilovlya railway . The district center Zhirnovsk is a very small city, the population does not exceed 20 thousand, but it even has its own radio station - "and

The anomalous zone - the Medveditskaya ridge - is an amazing place on the map of Russia. The hilly region has become a pilgrimage area for seekers of the paranormal and real sensations.

Some researchers are in full confidence that the Medveditskaya ridge is a cosmodrome where alien ships arrive, others argue that invisible entities are robbed here, and there is a lot of unknown in the local caves. The place is really interesting. While research is underway, it can be said for sure that the Saratov Territory and the Volgograd Region have become a habitat for lightning. Hundreds of them are recorded here every year.

Deciding to tickle your nerves and explore the place closer, you should find out how to get to Medveditskaya Gora in the Volgograd region. The peculiarity of the anomalous region begins with its location. A string of small mountains and small hills crosses not only the Volgograd region, but also the Saratov region. The chain is located along the Medveditsa River, from where it takes its name.

It will be easy to find a place, because the Medveditskaya ridge in the Volgograd region on the map is located near the city of Zhirnovsk.

Medveditskaya mountain - lightning

The peculiarity of these places is in the amazing number of anomalous and truly mysterious phenomena. There is a site here, which the locals called "a hill of furious lightning." On certain days of the year it is not safe to be here, because the area seems to attract dangerous discharges. Ball lightning appears here, and in clear weather, when there is not a cloud in the sky.

The peculiarity of flying lightning is that they can reach a diameter of up to two meters. But often they don’t touch anyone, but simply circle around the hills, the height of which reaches only 250-380 meters. The only evidence of her lightning is the bizarre patterns burned on the ground. The trees do not leave alone, some of the trunks are completely burned from such a presence.

Medveditskaya ridge - ball lightning

People who saw such a phenomenon describe it as something terrible and causing simply mystical fear. The Ust Medveditskaya ridge has become a real haven for numerous groups of lightning that can gather into one group, move against the laws of physics - towards the wind, and then describe circles, burning terrible patterns on the already poor greenery. Most of all, trees suffer from such an action, on the crowns of which spiral patterns and through holes appear. But luminous strange balls can bypass people or pass through them without causing harm.

Scientists were also interested in where the Medveditskaya ridge is located in Volgograd. They went here to study the nature of the anomalies. After inspecting the area and scorched trees, collecting eyewitness accounts, conducting research work the surveyors came to the conclusion that it is possible to completely exclude the impact on trees of linear lightning.

The phenomenon haunts prospectors, as well as scientists who study the phenomenon of ball lightning. The locals prefer to bypass the strange hill by the tenth road.

UFO territory

A drunken grove on the Medveditskaya ridge and a mass of ball lightning are not the only strange phenomena that attract attention and new tourists to these parts. Not one kilometer mysterious terrain is being studied by mystics and scientific communities. Particular attention is drawn to these places by ufologists who go here to look for evidence, and even better - traces of an alien presence.

There were cases when people disappeared here. In 2004, it was here that the trace of a tourist who decided to go to explore the area disappeared. Eleven years earlier, prospectors had found a huge dent in the ground. It is clear that such a trace could have been left by a powerful installation, but not by a natural phenomenon or a person.

A sense of mystery is in the air here. It is enough to look at the numerous photos of the Medveditskaya ridge to understand that this place is not in vain called mystical, dangerous, but also attractive for those who like to tickle their nerves. The best proof of this was the case that occurred in 1993 with a whole group of ufologists who conducted a series of surveys in this place. The day was overcast, and the researchers themselves were wearing jackets. By evening, all the remaining open areas of the body were heavily tanned. This is especially strange given that the day was overcast and there was no sun to leave such traces.

Another feature is the numerous springs of water that gush right out of the ground here. There is even a map of the Medveditskaya ridge with places of living springs. And do not rush to drink water. If in some streams, as studies show, the water is practically distilled - devoid of any impurities, then after a couple of hundred meters it is radioactive.

Local residents are not surprised by the influx of interested people, including ufologists. They themselves more than once observed flying around the area with "plates" and "triangles", and they also saw the aliens themselves. Even the places where alien ships landed are indicated, 20 of them have corresponding traces. It is here that compasses, watches, electronic devices go crazy, and there are no microorganisms in the soil - their traces are destroyed up to half a meter deep into the earth.

Mysterious underground tunnels

As if there were not enough anomalies in these parts, so that there was still something mysterious and inexplicable. But it exists and it is a system of tunnels of the Medveditskaya Mountain. There is especially no one to study them, except for enthusiastic speleologists.

Medveditskaya ridge - underground tunnels

There is a theory that the trajectory of the movement of lightning completely coincides with the developed system of underground tunnels.

Medveditskaya ridge - tunnels

One thing is known for sure about the local tunnels - they have been here for centuries. This is mentioned in the guidebook of the Russian Empire, which refers to two caves inside the system with untold riches. But even the opportunity to get rich does not attract enthusiasts to the study of the underworld. It was not created by nature, as evidenced by the extensions under the top of the mountain - they have an ideal shape and smooth walls.
